Mr Chaucer Leung, Director-General of Communications together with other OFCA's representatives participated in the World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC-23) held from 20 November to 15 December 2023 in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, as members of the Chinese delegation. Under the auspices of the International Telecommunication Union, WRC-23 was tasked with reviewing and revising the Radio Regulations, the international treaty governing the use of radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbits. OFCA's participation in WRC-23 was essential to safeguard Hong Kong's interest in the use of these scarce resources.
