Starting Salary Range: HK$19,100 - $27,000 per month depending on qualifications and experience (The salary may be subject to adjustment in accordance with non-civil service contract (NCSC) staff annual pay adjustment in 2018)

Entry Requirements:

Candidates should have –

(a) (i) A Higher Diploma from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic/Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/technical college in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline, or an accredited Associate Degree from a Hong Kong tertiary institution in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent; and
  (ii) Met the language proficiency requirements of “Level 2” [Note (1)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
(b) At least two years' post-qualification full time relevant IT working experience, preferably with at least one year in a similar post or in a comparable capacity;
(c) Candidates should be customer oriented and able to perform under pressure, as well as willing to work after normal office hours and occasionally on an on-call basis as required; and
(d) Candidates who have hands-on experience or good knowledge of the following will be advantageous –
  (i)

Helpdesk support (e.g. desktop PC, laptop, printer, IP network, file server, email system) in busy and large organisations (e.g with more than 200 staff members), service level agreement and call management

  (ii) PC hardware (desktop and laptop), Windows 7 and 10, Office 2013 and 2016, Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016, LAN/WAN technologies, Wireless LAN, IBM Notes, Mobile devices (e.g. iPhone and iPad), Avaya IP Phone, Clonezilla, Sophos SafeGuard LANCrypt, Microsoft BitLocker and BitLocker To Go, Security patches management and hardware/software asset management
  (iii) Conference room audio-visual system, including video-conference system

Notes:

  1. For non-civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 2’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
  2. Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend a written test.

Duties:

The Assistant Information Technology Officer (Infrastructure) will be responsible for:

  1. providing helpdesk support to local and remote users;
  2. developing, documenting, administering and maintaining office automation systems, IT inventory systems and IBM Notes applications;
  3. performing daily health check, data backup and security patch management for IT systems; and
  4. assisting in other system development and IT related duties as and when required.

Terms of Appointment:

Successful candidates will be appointed on two-year non-civil service contract (NCSC) terms. Further renewal of contract will be subject to the candidate’s performance and service needs.

Fringe Benefits:

  1. A gratuity may be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will add up to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
  2. Rest days, statutory holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, paternity leave and sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
