OFCA and the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (“CTT”) held an online bilateral meeting on 24 November 2022. The two delegations, led respectively by Mr Chaucer Leung, Director-General of Communications, and Ms Derby Lau, Director of CTT, shared the latest developments in the telecommunications markets in both jurisdictions and progress of 5G developments. Exchanges were also made on other topics, such as the development in regulating cybersecurity, real-name registration for SIM cards, as well as regulatory measures against phone and SMS scams.
