Bilateral Meeting between OFCA and the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore
OFCA and the Infocomm Media Development Authority ("IMDA") of Singapore held a bilateral meeting on 27 June 2023. This was the first post-pandemic physical meeting held between the two authorities. The two delegations, led respectively by Mr Chaucer Leung, Director-General of Communications, and Ms Aileen Chia, Deputy Chief Executive and Director-General (Telecoms and Post) of IMDA, shared the latest developments in the telecommunications markets, measures in relation to telecommunications network infrastructure and resilience, spectrum planning, as well as efforts to combat fraudulent calls and messages. Exchanges were also made on other topics such as broadcasting services and telemarketing issues.
