The three advisory committees under the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA), namely the Telecommunications Regulatory Affairs Advisory Committee, the Radio Spectrum and Technical Standards Advisory Committee, and the Telecommunications Users and Consumers Advisory Committee, have all along served as important exchange platforms among OFCA, telecommunications industry and telecommunications service users on telecommunications matters. OFCA hosted a tea gathering on 18 September 2025, inviting members of the current advisory committees to express gratitude for their support and contributions to OFCA's work over the past year. The tea gathering also provided an opportunity for exchanges on various telecommunications issues and industry development trends.
At the tea gathering, the Director-General of Communications, Mr Chaucer Leung, delivered a welcome speech, expressing heartfelt thanks to the committee members for their active participation and valuable insights in the past year. Thereafter, the chairmen of the three advisory committees respectively reviewed the achievements of the past year and shared their work plans and outlook for the coming year.
The tea gathering was conducted in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, fostering association between OFCA and committee members as well as promoting closer collaboration in the future, thereby continuing to make contribution to the development of Hong Kong's telecommunications industry.
