OFCA participated in the 5G-A forum of the “Huawei Hong Kong TechWeek 2026” held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 14 April 2026. The forum gathered industry leaders and technology experts to discuss the future of mobile communications and digital transformation in the 5G-A and emerging 6G landscape.
Mr Chaucer Leung, Director-General of Communications attended the forum and delivered the opening remarks. He highlighted Hong Kong’s remarkable achievements in 5G development and outlined Communications Authority’s role as the regulator driving the advancement of 5G and paving the way for future 6G deployment.
Mr Desmond Young, Head of Regulatory of OFCA, also presented a keynote address, sharing Hong Kong’s efforts in promoting the development of communications technologies.
