In order to enable staff members to acquire up-to-date market knowledge from the academic perspective so as to discharge their duties better, OFCA invited Dr Tommy Leung, Assistant Professor of the Chinese University’s Economics Department to conduct a sharing session on spectrum auction on 22 August 2014 at OFCA. During the session, Professor Leung shared with OFCA’s staff members his expert knowledge and latest research findings on spectrum auction, including “bid rigging”. Mr Kingsley Yeung, Principal Regulatory Affairs Manager of OFCA, also shared with Professor Leung and participants his experience in spectrum auctions conducted in Hong Kong over the past few years. Participants all found the sharing session fruitful and rewarding.
