To promote public understanding of radiation safety of radio base stations and handheld mobile communications devices, OFCA gave a public talk on “Electromagnetic Radiation Safety in Mobile Communications” at the Hong Kong Space Museum on 16 August 2014. As part of the Science Talk Series under the “Science in the Public Service (SIPS)” Campaign organised by the Hong Kong Observatory, the talk had introduced in detail the radiation safety standard and measures adopted by the Communications Authority to safeguard public health.
