OFCA's Participation in the Spectrum Futures Conference 2015

OFCA participated in the Spectrum Futures Conference 2015 (Conference) organised by the Pacific Telecommunications Council in Singapore from 10 to 11 September 2015.

The theme of the Conference was to explore the future developments in the use of radio spectrum for Internet access in the Asia Pacific Region. The Conference featured panel discussions among the telecommunications regulators and industry players in the region as well as a regulator-only symposium.

Mr Chaucer Leung, Assistant Director (Regulatory) of OFCA (Note 1), participated in the Conference to exchange with counterparts from all over the world on various radio spectrum management matters.  As a panellist at the Conference, Mr Leung also shared with the participants Hong Kong's experience in making use of scare radio spectrum to meet the demands for wireless broadband services.

Note 1: Mr Chaucer Leung has assumed the post of Deputy Director-General (Telecommunications) since 12 October 2015.
