OFCA participated in the Broadband for All Seminar (the Seminar) held at Stockholm of Sweden from 27 to 28 June 2016.
The Seminar attracted high level representatives from governments and telecommunications regulators all over the world to exchange views on 5G spectrum allocation, government policies to support the diffusion of internet of things (IoT), and the latest development of 5G and IoT. The Seminar featured presentations, panel debates, bilateral meetings between telecommunications regulators, and technology briefing.
Mr. Chaucer Leung, Deputy Director-General (Telecommunications) of OFCA, participated in the Seminar to give a presentation on OFCA’s experience in facilitating the deployment of broadband for all in Hong Kong. As one of the panellists in the Seminar, Mr. Leung also shared with the participants his view on spectrum allocation to meet the future demands for 5G and IoT in Hong Kong.
