The Office of the Telecommunications Authority (OFTA) today has published on its homepage the 47 submissions received during the consultation on the licensing framework for third generation (3G) mobile services, which ended this Monday.

"We are pleased with the enthusiastic response of the industry, organisations from various sectors and the public to this consultation. We will study the comments received and take full account of the submissions in planning the licensing framework for 3G. There may be a need for a second round of consultation on certain licensing and regulatory issues. If so, we will issue another paper for further consultation in the third quarter of this year," said OFTA's spokesperson.

The submissions in their original forms can be viewed or downloaded at OFTA's homepage at www.ofta.gov.hk under the newly launched '3G Licensing' column.
