FIXED TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK SERVICES LICENCE
TELECOMMUNICATION ORDINANCE (Chapter 106)


In accordance with General Condition 20 of the Fixed Telecommunication Network Services Licence, Cable & Wireless HKT Telephone Limited, Cable &Wireless HKT International Limited and Cable &Wireless HKT CAS Limited (collectively referred to as "the Company") hereby publishes the tariffs, the terms and conditions under which it will provide the following telecommunication service with effect from 1 September 1999.


(A) Particular of Service

Integrated Digital Access - P (IDA-P) D-channel Backup for Non-associated Mode, an IDA supplementary service, is offered to IDA-P.

This feature provides one primary D-channel and one back-up D-channel for IDA-P non-associated mode access. In case the primary D-channel fails, it will be automatically switched to use the backup D-channel without any service interruption. The maximum number of IDA-P to form a non-associated group is 5.


(B) Particular of Charges

    • Annual Charge
    • Integrated Digital Access - P (IDA-P) D-channel Backup for Non-associated Mode
    • HK$ 2,544.00 per system

(C) Delivery Time of Service

The normal lead time for provisioning :

    • Integrated Digital Access - P (IDA-P) D-channel Backup for Non-associated Mode
    • 28 calendar days

(D) Conditions of Service

Appendix I.A. applies.

In accordance with General Condition 20 of the Fixed Telecommunications Network Services Licence, Cable & Wireless HKT Telephone Limited, Cable & Wireless HKT International Limited and Cable & Wireless HKT CAS Limited (the Company) hereby publishes the following revision to its Special Conditions of Hello Phonecard Service Philippines Route Promotion with effect from 4 September 1999.

Sub-clause 1.2, 3.1 of the Special Conditions is deleted and the following substituted :

"1.2 The Promotion will operate from 4 September 1999 to 30 September 1999 ("Promotion Periods"). On every Sunday during the Promotion Periods, the Customer using Hello Phonecard Service can enjoy the 24-hour Promotion Rate for calls to the Philippines.

During 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday to Saturday during the Promotion Periods, the Customer using Hello Phonecard Service can also enjoy the Promotion Rate for calls to the Philippines.


3.1 The following Promotion Rate is applied during the Promotion Period:

    • Destination
    • Promotion Rate per minute ($)
    • Mon - Sat 06:00 -10:00 and
      Sun 00:00 - 24:00
    • Philippines
    • 1.67

All other Special Conditions filed by the Company to date remain unchanged.

a) The International Direct Dialling(IDD) call charges on the following destination will have effect from 10th September 1999:-

b) The following revision to its Special Conditions of Golden Value Rates (formerly named as Extra Value 18-Hours) will have effect from 4th September 1999.

Sub-clauses 1.1, 1.2, 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 of the Special Conditions is deleted and the following substituted:

"1.1 The Promotion applies to all 0060/0062 calls made by CWHKTC customers to the specified destinations during the specified time as set out in 'Promotion Rate' below.

The Promotion also applies to all calls to the specified destinations made by customers using CWHKTC's Hello Phonecard (the "Phonecard").


1.2 The Promotion will operate from 4th September 1999 to 31st October 1999 ("Promotion Period").

For the Phonecard, the Promotion will operate from 6th September 1999 to 31st October 1999 ("Promotion Period").


3.1 The following Promotion Rate is applied during the Promotion Period:

3.2 For Customers registered under any of the call plans which provide discounts on 0060/0062, the Promotion Rate is the minimum rate to be applied and those Customers will not receive any additional discount on the Promotion Rate for calls made to the specified destinations during the specified time as set out above."

All other Special Conditions filed by the Company to date remain unchanged.
