OFCA’s Participation in MWC19 Barcelona
OFCA’s representatives attended the MWC (formerly known as Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, Spain, from 25 to 28 February 2019 (MWC19). Organised by the GSMA, the event was attended by over 109,000 participants from 198 countries and territories.
MWC19, under the theme of “Intelligent Connectivity”, was one of the largest worldwide industry events on mobile communications. It provided a global platform for information and communications technology exhibitors to showcase the technologies, products and services that are shaping the future of mobile developments.
In addition to the exhibition of cutting edge innovations and technologies, MWC19 also brought together participants from both the public and private mobile sectors across the globe to share their knowledge and expertise through different conferences and programmes. Major topics covered included the intersection of “hyper-connectivity”, which is enabled by 5G and the Internet of Things, and “intelligence”, delivered by artificial intelligence and big data.
